How to use it
- Paste your CSV into the input box, upload a .csv file, or drop a file onto the box.
- The HTML table appears as you type.
- Copy the result or download it as a .html file.
Good to know
- The first row is used as the header. Numbers and true/false become real numbers and booleans. Dotted headers such as supplier.city are rebuilt into nested objects, so converting back gives you the original shape.
- Special characters are escaped, so a value like <b> shows as text instead of becoming markup.
About the formats
CSV
CSV (comma-separated values) stores a table as plain text: one row per line, with columns split by commas. Excel, Google Sheets and almost every database can import and export it.
HTML table
An HTML table uses <table>, <tr> and <td> tags to show rows and columns on a web page. The output here is plain, unstyled markup you can paste into a page or an email template.
Questions
- Is my data uploaded anywhere?
- No. The conversion runs in your browser with JavaScript. Your data never leaves your device, and the tool keeps working if you lose your connection after the page has loaded.
- How big a file can I convert?
- Up to 25 MB per file. Very large files depend on your device’s memory, so if the page slows down, split the file into parts.
